Mission & Vision

Wounded Men at Ground Zero Inc. (WMAGZ) is a faith-based organization, that serves as a

vehicle of hope, bringing forth healing, awareness and understanding of the struggles, mindsets,

and pitfalls that men face daily.

Our vision is to become a leading advocate for men in the State of Maryland and throughout the DMV region.  To this end, Wounded Men at Ground Zero will seek to identify safe places that serve as a refuge for healing, as well as utilize its platform to identify, address, and meet the needs of wounded men in order to rebuild lives, restore hope, and strengthen the families

and communities we serve.

My Story

20201010_133402_Original.heic

Growing up in Southeast Washington, D.C., amidst a bustling community, I witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of poverty, homelessness, drug addiction, and mental health issues. These experiences deeply touched my heart and compelled me to

take action. Little did I know that some of these very challenges would eventually find their way into my own life.

Reflecting upon my journey, I now realize the profound significance of the question my grandmother posed to me as a child: “How can you lead someone from a place you've never been?” This query has become the guiding force behind my purpose.

My ultimate aspiration is to shatter the confines of traditional norms and revolutionize the landscape of religion in people's lives. I believe that tradition often attempts to mimic God, while religion often leaves us trapped in endless cycles, preventing us from attaining a genuine connection with the divine.

Drawing from my personal struggles and transformative experiences, I am dedicated to sharing my story and helping others find their path to a brighter future. It is through this amalgamation of youthful encounters, and a divine calling, that Wounded Men at Ground Zero came into existence—a testament to the power of healing and growth.
